Kuala Lumpur: On the 6th of August 2020, the Centre for Political Studies and Economic Diplomacy has organised IDFR Lecture Series 1/2020. Guest speaker, YAM Tunku Zain Al-‘Abidin ibni Tuanku Muhriz delivered his speech on Healing The Nation 2.0. The lecture was attended by Foreign Missions; Ambassadors and Representatives, Former Ambassadors, Ministry Representatives, Academician, UNAM Youth and other organizations.
During his speech, YAM Tunku Zain Al-‘Abidin ibni Tuanku Muhriz remarked about the current situation of the Pandemic Covid-19 followed by other important issues concerning Malaysia and other nations. YAM Tunku Zain Al-‘Abidin urged that the youth in Malaysia should be encouraged to be informed on the latest issues in parallel to understand that the government does matter. YAM Tunku Zain Al-‘Abidin also mentioned with the recent initiative by Malaysian youth on Digital Parliament, such a healthy trend where we can see young Malaysians debating on important issues should be encouraged.

YAM Tunku Zain Al-‘Abidin concluded that Malaysia will be facing rougher days ahead if the country does not start healing itself now. A good governance will open up opportunities for Malaysians to have a proper understanding of our Federal Constitution and its origins, the functions and operations of our institutions where we are able to have the freedom of speech and debate on important issues in a respectful and inclusive way.
